Scary Garden: Monster Fight is a free game of strategy starring a host of weird cartoon monsters. Build an army, send it to war, and watch as the crazy fight breaks out, complete with on-screen "boom," "crack," and "grrr" sound effects.
The app uses the same basic gameplay as the many other "merge monster" titles, including Merge Master Blue Monster and Monster Merge. Players who are familiar with these games will get to grips with this variation, which adds a new layer of cartoonish graphics.
Choose your army
Behind its wacky cartoon setting, Scary Garden: Monster Fight turns out to be a straightforward game of tactics. At the start of each level, you choose troops and place them on a board. Click "start fight," and then your characters will automatically go into battle against foes located at the top of the board.
Two types of creatures
The various bizarre creatures come in two main varieties: Animals and Warriors. Animals will run upwards and attack foes head-on, while Warriors will stand still and hurl projectiles. In addition, if you have two of the same creature, you can merge them together to make a stronger fighter. This will be necessary since the enemy gets tougher on each level.
Easy to earn coins
New troops can be purchased with virtual money, and this is where the game's main weakness comes in. It is extremely easy to earn large sums of money. You can claim hundreds of thousands of coins simply by watching adverts. Having done so, you'll have no trouble building an army that'll trample your opponent in seconds.
Nice graphics but low difficulty
The cel-shaded cartoon graphics are appealing, and there is some fun to be had in seeing what monster the next merge will create. Still, compared to the many similar games, Scary Garden: Monster Fight suffers from its low difficulty.
